The production of opera is a very expensive endeavor: music, orchestra, costumes, settings, properties, programs, publicity, rental of rehearsal and performance space, rental trucks to move equipment, etc. Part of the mission of Center Stage Opera is to keep prices as low as possible so that everyone can enjoy the opera experience. Settings and costumes are modest rather than extravagant.

But despite these attempts to be frugal there are expenses that amount to thousands of dollars. Center Stage Opera, therefore, depends upon patrons and underwriters in order to be able to present operas.
