Amanda M. Wagner

Soprano

Amanda Wagner

Amanda M. Wagner made her debut with Center Stage Opera as a dancer in the recent production of La Gioconda.  She is looking forward to singing with Center Stage in their upcoming production of Madama Butterfly, and hopes to have more opportunities in the future.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she began her voice studies in the prep program at The Cleveland Institute of Music, and later obtained a Bachelor of Music degree under the direction of Beverley Rinaldi.  While at CIM she performed in several opera scenes programs including scenes from The Medium, Le Nozze di Figaro, The Mikado and the Bartered Bride, and in the ensemble of Amahl and the Night Visitors and Cosi Fan Tutte.  She also had the opportunity to perform with Lyric Opera of Cleveland in the Merry Widow as a Grisette and in the ensemble.

She first came to Central Pennsylvania in 2003 when she began working with PRF Productions as a Girl Friday performer, doing everything from singing to sword fighting, Shakespeare to archery and anything in between.  She also performed in The Taming of the Shrew, Poe Evermore, and Gift of the Magi the Musical with PRF, and took on the duty of Music Director for the 2004 and 2005 seasons.

Amanda has been performing in the Harrisburg area since the spring of 2008, when she made her debut with Theatre Harrisburg as Pitti-sing in the Mikado and in the fall as Maria in The Sound of Music.  She also sings with the Lebanon Valley Alumni Chorale under the direction of Gregg Mauroni, and studies voice with Dr. Yvonne Robinson.  She currently works as the administrative assistant for the Cultural Enrichment Fund, which raises and allocates money to arts group in the Harrisburg area.
