Peter Scott Drackley

Tenor

Name

Born and raised in Lancaster Pennsylvania, Peter Scott Drackley was introduced to opera at a very young age. Having a mother as a voice teacher and a father as a pianist, he was formed into the young singer he is today. As a child, Peter performed with the Lancaster Opera Company. He was introduced to operas such as Le Nozze di Figaro, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Falstaff and many more. He even performed the title role in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors.

A student of Dr. Steven Rainbolt and a junior at Peabody Conservatory, Peter was recently seen in the Peabody Mainstage Opera production of Cosi fan tutte in the role Ferrando. Other performances include Herr K in the Maryland premier of Melissa Shiflett’s Dora at Baltimore Theater Project, Guiseppe in the Peabody Mainstage Opera production of La Traviata, Leroy in the Peabody Chamber Opera production of Marriage by Lanterlight by Offenbach, and Nanki-poo in Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado at Theater Harrisburg in Pennsylvania.

Peter is a finalist for the Sylvia Green competition, and recently took first place in his division of the NATS district competition. He will be traveling to South Carolina in April to compete in the NATS regional competition. Peter is thrilled to be making his debut with Chesapeake Concert Opera as Gastone in their production of Verdi’s La Traviata. He is also looking forward to returning to Opera Vivente in May in their production of The Magic Flute as the armored guard. In October he will be performing the role of Arturo in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor also with Opera Vivente.
