Pamela Butler - Praised in The Washington Post for her “special sparkle,” mezzo-soprano Pamela Butler has performed over 30 opera roles and numerous concerts with organizations throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, including Arlington National Cemetery/Fort Myer Chapel, Bel Cantanti Opera (DC), Binghamton Savoyards (NY), Center Stage Opera (PA), Chesapeake Chorale (MD), Loudoun Chorale (VA), Loudoun Lyric Opera (VA), Loudoun Symphony (VA), Mount Vernon Players (DC), Opera International (DC), Oswego Opera Theatre (NY), the Piedmont Singers (VA & UK), Riverbend Opera (VA), the Schiller Institute (VA), Syracuse Opera (NY), Victorian Lyric Opera (MD) and the Washington Savoyards (DC).
Favorite roles include Maddelena in Rigoletto, Nicklausse in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Filipyevna in Eugene Onegin, Hansel in Hansel und Gretel, Fidalma in Il Matrimonio Segreto, Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Gianetta in L’Elisir d’Amore, Madelon in Andrea Chenier and Berginella in La Perichole.
A graduate of LeMoyne College and the Metropolitan School for the Arts in Syracuse, NY, she serves as Co-Director of Music at Christ Episcopal Church in Leesburg, VA and as Cantore at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Middleburg, VA. Ms. Butler also has over 15 years’ experience serving as a founder and director on the boards of several non-profit performing and visual arts organizations.
