Milana Valeri

Soprano

Milana Valeri

A versatile and inspiring soprano, Milana Valeri performs works from a wide variety of musical styles, especially enjoying Renaissance and Baroque periods.

Music has always been part of her life, as both of her parents are professional musicians. Ms. Valeri first fell in love with singing at the age of two, when she got her first songbook (still her favorite present).

Ms. Valeri began a degree in linguistics, but after moving to the United States followed her dream of pursuing musical career. Ms. Valeri holds her Bachelor of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Neil Rosenshein and Hilda Harris. She recenlty graduated from SUNY Purchase with her Master of Music degree under the tutelage of Bonnie Hamilton.

As a promising young artist Ms. Valeri took part in a Rising Star concert that took place in Queensborough PAC in May 2014. Her recent SUNY Purchase performances include Gretel and Dew Fairy in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel and Adele in Die Fledermaus. Other appearances include Liutgard in Schubert’s Die Verschprochenen, and multiple opera scenes productions. Ms. Valeri was a soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater at Tuscia Opera Festival 2010.

In her leisure time Ms. Valeri enjoys improvising on the piano, swimming, traveling and hiking with her dog Alya.
