Mariela Pacchioli

Mezzo Soprano

Name

Her artistic career started at the age of six when she began studying ballet with Josefina Serrano, Gloria Kazda, Mario Galizzi and Lidia Segni. Between ballet classes, she studied modern jazz with Margarita Fernandez and Noemí Cohelo, tango in the Academia Nacional del Tango, with Miguel Angel Pla and Ernesto Ampugnani as well as Argentinian folklore at the Escuela Nacional de Danzas Maria Ruanova.

While developing her dance skills, Mariela pursued her interest in opera and popular music with technical and opera repertory classes led by Ronaldo Rosa De Scalzo and the Conservatorio Municipal Manuel de Falla. She has sung opera since 2003 and performed seasonally as a singer and a dancer in such distinguished venues as the Colon Theater, Avenida, Lola Membrives and Margarita Xirgu. In 1999, Mariela began working as assistant regie at La Casa de Opera and Opera del Buen Ayre. Three years later, she produced a children’s version of Massenet’s Cendrillon at the Teatro del Paseo.
