Jennifer Lynn Waters Soprano

Jennifer Lynn Waters, a unique soprano voice, has captivated audiences with her sizable and radiant tone, blooming effortlessly in any hall.  Ms. Waters’ possesses the ability of beautiful and floating pianissimi in the high register, as well as the most impressive clarity in the voice while singing in the middle to low range.   With an instrument ideal for the fuller-voiced Italian operatic repertoire, Ms. Waters’ vocal versatility is demonstrated in her repertoire, ranging from music of the early baroque era to current day opera.

Most recently, Ms. Waters performed the roles of Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte with Loudoun Lyric Opera as well as Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with the Maryland Concert Opera.  She also covered the role of Leonora in Verdi’s Il Trovatore, as a young artist with The Caramoor International Festival in New York.  Ms. Waters is very excited to debut with Center Stage Opera this November as Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana and as Peppe in I Pagliacci.  Other roles performed include Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica, and Sicle in L'Ormindo. 

An avid oratorio and recital performer, Ms. Waters is engaged in her second season a soloist with The Bach Concert Series, performing Bach’s Cantatas No. 147 and No. 75.  She continues the festivities as a soprano soloist this December, performing in the Messiah with The Harford Choral Society, under the direction of T. Herbert Dimmock.  Early 2008, Jennifer will be giving a recital of opera arias, duets, and trios with Alexandra Phyllips and Carla Dirlikov.
