In 1999 Ms. Dupree won first place for her district in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Competition and was a finalist and prizewinner in the regional Metropolitan Opera Competition. She has won many other awards including First Place in the Regional Leontyne Price Competition in San Francisco and placed Second in the National Competition in Dallas, Texas. She also won First Place in the N.A.T. S. Competition (Division 2) and was awarded a Tanglewood scholarship.
Ms. Dupree has sung in productions and concerts with many companies including Bregenzer Festspiel in Austria under the direction of the highly acclaimed Gotz Friedrick, Eugene Opera, California State Opera Theater, Regina Opera and Danbury Opera Theater, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte with Silesian State Opera and as guest soloist in Mozarts Exultate Jubilate with the Albany Community Symphony Orchestra, Kirk Smith conducting. Most recently Ms. Dupree has been seen in the role of Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana and Leonora in Il Trovatore and the title role in La Gioconda.
Her symphonic repertoire includes the Mahler Second and Fourth, and Beethoven’s Ah Perfido!
Upcoming Ms. Dupree can be seen in the title role of Tosca with Center Stage Opera and in concert in Manhattan.
