Dina Gulnara Mitzanova has been praised for “elegant, power-packed mezzo” and “lustrous tone”. Trained in Moscow Conservatory, the Juilliard School and Academy of Vocal Arts, her artistry is a unique blend of European and American musical traditions. With her rich, multi-colored voice, Ms Mitzanova is equally adept in Verismo, French and Bel Canto repertoire. Most recently she performed roles of Maurya in rarely produced “Riders to the Sea” for which she earned “… a moving performance” compliment from the New York Times, Laura/La Cieca (La Gioconda), Ulrica, Olga, Santuzza, Rosina, Carmen, Dalila.
As an oratorio soloist and a recitalist, Ms Mitzanova had performed in Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, Bard International Music Festival. “An entertaining and charismatic artist”, Ms Mitzanova is a frequent guest artist for special events in the National Arts Club and United Nations. Ms Mitzanova has won a New York Oratorio Solo Competition, Special Prize in Parkinson Competition, was a Finalist in Albanese_Puccinin Foundation Ms Mitzanova is also a professional pianist and a choral conductor.
