Elizabeth Oliver

Coloratura soprano Elizabeth Oliver performs regularly in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area as an opera and concert soloist, church musician, and choral singer.

Favorite roles with the Delaware Valley Opera Company include Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Blonde in Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio, Amina in Bellini’s La Sonnambula, Clorinda in Rossini’s La Cenerentola, Madame Silverpeal and Madame Goldentrill in Mozart’s The Impresario
(in different productions), Yvette in La Rondine, and Nella in the company’s updated version of “Johnny” Schicci. She has covered the role of Frasquita for ConcertOPERA, and Aennchen in Der Freischutz. Favorite roles performed with the Lancaster Opera Company and with Rose Valley Chorus & Orchestra include Rosina in Barber of Seville, Frasquita in Carmen, Gretchen in Victor Herbert’s The Red Mill, and Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore. She appeared as the soprano soloist in the Williamsport Civic Chorus’ performance of
Bach’s Mass in B-minor, and she was the soprano soloist in the U.S. premiere of Ignaz Holtzbauer’s Mass in C Major, performed with the Philadelphia Doctors Orchestra.Elizabeth also appeared with the PDO in their performances of Schubert’s Mass in G Major, and Vivaldi’s Gloria.


Elizabeth has performed with the Philadelphia Singers Chorale, the The Princeton Festival, Mendelssohn Club and Opera Delaware Chorus. Elizabeth holds a journalism degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, where
she minored in music theory, and studied voice, piano, and drama.
