Christopher Lorge

Tenor

Christopher Lorge

Tenor Christopher Lorge, a native of New Jersey, has a versatile voice described by The Philadelphia Inquirer’s David Patrick Stearns as “bright” and “penetrating” with “lyric sweetness”.  He has appeared in several roles with Center City Opera Theater in Philadelphia, including Ferrando in Così Fan Tutte, Rodolfo in La Bohème, and Alfredo in La Traviata.  For CCOT, he also created the roles of Stravinsky in Danse Russe, and Jerry Krieg in Michael Ching’s Slaying the Dragon, which earned him praise from Opera News’ David Shengold who described him as “dominating the cast”.  Mr. Lorge has also appeared with Delaware Valley Opera Company as Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro, Kaspar in Amahl and The Night Visitors and Goro in Madama Butterfly, and as Incredibile in Andrea Chenier with ConcertOpera Philadelphia.  Among his other credits are concert performances for many ensembles, including the Ocean City Pops Orchestra and the Gulf Coast Symphony in Fort Myers, Florida.
